NODA Nominations for School of Rock

 🌟NODA NOMINATIONS🌟

We’re all absolutely delighted to announce that we’ve been nominated for the NODA Performance Awards 2025 for both our Pantomime and our show, ‘School of Rock’. 

We are so delighted for our members Emily and Joe who have both been nominated for their amazing performances in ‘School of Rock’- and Joe is also nominated for his role of Silly Billy in ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. This is incredible news and we’re thrilled to bits. 

Putting on these shows is a huge team effort and we’re over the moon for every single member of our team.

Congratulations to all of the other societies in our area who have received nominations too. We’ll see you at the awards!

Goldilocks & the Three Bears

We’re thrilled to announce the cast for our seasonal pantomime, ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. Tickets are on sale now. There’s no better way to start the festive season than to get yourself along to a great Panto. This is another hilarious telling of the favourite fairytale, written by Tom Whalley, a local talent whose pantomimes are performed right across the world. You might even have seen Tom star in recent pantos at Sunderland Empire where he’ll be performing again this year. 

Come along and see some local talent in the theatre at Jarrow Focus- yes it really does have its very own theatre with a full size stage and orchestra pit. The show is directed by Michelle Coulson and choreographed by Joanna Barron. Our Musical Director is Freda Carney and she’ll be joined by a fabulous band of professional musicians. 

It’s set to be a truly lively, hilarious and colourful show and there might even be snow- after all it’ll be almost Christmas!

Panto rehearsals begin!

 How quickly did that come around? One minute we were rehearsing for ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ and now rehearsals for Panto start next week! We can’t wait to make a start on this one. It’s our first Panto written by the brilliant Tom Whalley and we’re so excited for the first read through. Tickets are already on sale. This is going to be a hoot!

Time Warp- our Summer Concert

 Our big show is well and truly over for another year so before we get started with rehearsals for our Christmas Pantomime, we’re rehearsing for our Summer concert, ‘Time Warp’. Tickets are available via the link at the side of the page. It will be performed for only one night, Friday 14th July. It will be a Cabernet style performance and our audience will be able to sit with family and friends to enjoy the evening. You can even bring along your own refreshments. 

So long ‘Bonnie and Clyde’

We’ve just had the most amazing week performing ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ and now we are all suffering from the post- show blues! 

We’re delighted to say that it appears our audiences loved the show just a much as we did and we’ve received lots and lots of wonderful feedback. We’re so glad that you all fell in love with this show just as much as us.
